Currently, we are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Mechanic in our Hardwood Lumber Mill.

Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for all the upkeep and maintenance of our heavy-duty hydraulic equipment and diesel-powered equipment. The Hydraulic mechanic is responsible for assembling, repairing hydraulic equipment including but not limited to servicing pumps, valves, manifolds, and compressors. Performing periodic equipment maintenance, repairs, parts replacement and troubleshooting various production equipment.

A Weaber Hydraulic Mechanic should be familiar working in a normal manufacturing environment; work involves lifting materials and machinery tools. The ability to operate heavy equipment which requires the use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe work boots or shoes and hard hats.

Skills, Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Troubleshoot and diagnose defects on heavy duty equipment, motors, valve & components.

Conduct maintenance on all hydraulic equipment to prevent major and costly repairs without supervision.

Perform all Preventative Maintenance assignments in a timely manner.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose all heavy-duty equipment including forklifts.

Inspects diesel powered equipment, hydraulic systems, injection valves and cable operated attachments.

Follow safety procedures and company policies to complete work assignments safely.

Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts.

Accounts for all parts, materials, tools, and consumables used as required.

Ability to understand service manuals, interpret hydraulic schematics and use diagnostic instruments.

Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents in a timely matter.
