Matson Lumber Company has an excellent opportunity available immediately for two full-time Plant Maintenance Employees (1st and 2nd shift) in our growing organization. Matson Lumber is a strong family-owned company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative maintenance and welding
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment to prevent down time
• Conduct necessary mechanical repairs
• Work well and communicate with other team members in a fast-paced environment

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years Industrial maintenance and mechanical skills in a manufacturing environment, preferably sawmill.
• Must be an experienced welder and able to work on hydraulics and understand pneumatics.
• Valid Driver’s license required
• HS Diploma or GED
• Formal Electrical training a plus
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends/overtime in order to make repairs when needed
• Experience operating lift truck and man-lift preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Requires bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and reaching, and walking for a significant period of time, physical dexterity and stamina

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Matson Lumber provides a competitive compensation to the ideal candidate. Wages start at $16.00-$20.00/hr depending on experience. Hiring Bonus of $1000.00 after 90 continuous days of employment. Matson Lumber also has an excellent benefits program including medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance as well as a matching 401(k) plan and paid vacation/holidays.
