Description

Horizon Wood Products is looking for a qualified candidate to maintain our facility and keep it in optimum condition. The candidate should be adept at scheduling and maintaining a preventative maintenance (PM) program. Prioritize plant maintenance pertaining to breakdowns, projects and PM Track and procure maintenance items for all plant equipment and supplies. Effectively plan and manage shutdown maintenance. Assure compliance with mandated programs: Lockout/Tagout-energy isolation, Hot Works, PPE Ensure a Safety-First culture. Appreciate the importance Horizon’s exceptional level of appearance plays in owner philosophy and customer expectations of the company.

Qualifications & experience

• 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance leadership role in manufacturing environment - OR - appropriate diplomas and trade licenses (i.e., Journeyman Millwright or Electrician) with experience in a related industry in leadership role will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and extensive experience with electrical, hydraulics, and mechanical work.
• Basic carpentry and construction skills.
• Record keeping.
• Computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.

Salary

$20-35/hour depending on experience.
